A polyfill for min/max-width CSS3 Media Queries (for IE6-8)

Respond.js is a fast and lightweight polyfill for min/max-width CSS3 Media Queries (for IE6-8). This is a plugin to bring older versions of IE in line with all modern browsers.

We aren’t building just for desktop and laptop screens anymore. The rise of tablets and faster smart phones require our sites to be fluid over these devices. Building three sites for three different screen dimensions is not the answer. Media queries will use desired sections of CSS when a certain screen width is reached.

Modern browsers already support this but IE8 down ignores the media queries all together.

We used this polyfill in our Flowers gallery project which can be found here. This allowed us to use the media queries to target various sizes of the users screen.

Just include this file in your header and those older browsers will recognise the queries and act like their modern counterparts.
