In 2002, Sumac Consulting Ltd was incorporated as a vehicle for David to provide high level project management services to the rail industry. Before long it also encompassed my database and software development services.
There used to be a Sumac tree in the front garden of our family home.

After two years I bought a 50% stake in the company and it was renamed Sumac UK Limited. At that time the company’s stated mission was to provide exceptional development services to organizations who wanted to do business on the web.

We spent the next few years honing our skills, building a fantastic team and developing a base of delighted clients. Through our collaborations with creative agencies and business owners we built a reputation for bridging the gap between business, technology and all aspects of design. As anyone who has worked with us will testify, Sumac always delivers.

In recent years, more and more of our time has been spent in the early stages of projects, at the point where ideas are formulated and developed. Our unique understanding of the needs of a business, the possibilities that technology can offer and the value of good design throughout the project lifecycle is invaluable.

It is the creative aspect of our business that we now intend to develop and enjoy.
