Having implemented a membership directory management system for Social Enterprise London in 2009, we were very happy to deliver similar systems for two very different organisations in 2010.
Visit Huddersfield is a community network set-up in Huddersfield to support independent businesses as they compete with the bigger high street chains. The website allows their members to manage a strongly branded and effective web presence for a minimal annual membership fee. It also helps the organisers manage this membership and promote the activity of the group as a whole. We see this as a model that could really be used to good effect in 2011.
We have also put in place a very simple directory for the new Tower Hamlets CVS which we hope to develop into a really powerful tool to promote and support the work of voluntary services in our home borough.
