The Future is Social is a research project devised by artist Sonia Boyce consisting of an artists' residency and symposium to explore the production of art through collaboration and participation.
Working within a very tight budget, Sumac was asked to create a logo and website to promote, record and archive the project and the work produced, building a platform for it to continue and evolve into the future.
We designed a sophisticated font-based logo and used this on a postcard and as the basis for the website. As much of the content would be produced by a number of artists during the residency, we decided a blog format would be most suitable and created a and implemented a WordPress theme.
An exhibition will follow and we hope the project will continue to live on online.
